SWIMMING POOLS § 20-33 <br /> <br /> (b) Spray pools shall be constructed of permanently impervious material that shall have <br />and retain a finish as smooth as possible and is nonslip to bare feet. <br /> (c) Spray pool bottoms shall slope not less than three (3) inches in ten (10) feet toward the <br />drains. <br /> (d) A .spray pool shall be equipped at i. ts low point with an unvalved drain to waste. The <br />drain shall be of such size and design that water sprayed into the pool will not pond in the pool <br />bottom. Refer to 20-11 for waste discharge. <br /> <br /> (e) A spray pool shall be entirely surrounded by a deck at least four (4) feet in width, <br />constructed of permanently impervious material which shall have and retain a finish as <br />smooth as practical and is nonslip to bare feet. The deck shall slope not less than three (3) <br />inches in ten (10) feet away from the pool edge and the water on the deck shall be discharged <br />to waste. <br />(Ord. of 5-10-77, § 9-1.11) <br /> <br />Sec. 20-22. Authority of director of public health to close pod. <br /> <br /> When the director of public health finds that any condition exists that endangers the life, <br />health or safety of the users of a swimming pool, he may order the pool closed until such <br />condition is corrected. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or permit the operation of <br />a pool so ordered closed, until such condition has been corrected to the satisfaction of the <br />director of public health. <br />(Ord. of 5-10-77, § 9-1.14) <br /> <br />Secs. 20-23--20-31. Reserved. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II. RECIRCULATION SYSTEM AND APPURTENANCES <br /> <br />Sec. 20-32. General requirements. <br /> <br /> All swimming pools shall be equipped with a recirculation system consisting of pumps, <br />hair and lint catcher, filters, disinfection equipment and necessary pipe connections to the <br />inlets and outlets. The recirculation system shall be designed for an eight (8) hour or less <br />turnover of the swimming pool water. <br />(Ord. of 5-10-77, § 9-1.711]) <br /> <br />Sec. 20-33. Inlets. <br /> <br /> The inlets for recirculation shall be submerged and be located to ,produce uniform circula- <br />tion of water throughout the swimming pool without the existence of dead spots. Wall inlets <br />shah be located on not more than twenty (20) foot centers entirely around the perimeter of the <br />swimming pool. Bottom inlets shall be spaced, depending on the pool dimensions, so as to <br />produce uniform water circulation. The number of bottem inlets shall be the same as required <br />of wall inlets.
