STREETS AND SIDEWALKS § 19-47 <br /> <br />driveway and new radial curb, gutter and entrance ramp shall be poured' monolithicly from <br />the pavement edge to the back edge of the sidewalk, with a minimum thickness of six (6) <br />inches; provided, however, that under conditions which must be set forth at the time of <br />issuance of the permit and made a part of the permit, exceptions with respect only to the <br />removal of curb, gutter or sidewalk may be made by the 'director of public works if, in his <br />determination, conditions warrant an exception. <br />(Code 1971, § 15-16[k]) <br /> <br />Sec. 19-38. Maximum size of opening. <br /> <br /> The maximum opening of any driveway, regardless of the use for which it is intended, <br />shall be forty (40) feet, measured along a line parallel to the curb at the property line. <br />(Code 1971, § 15-16[c]) <br /> <br />Sec. 19-39. Number of private driveways per residence. <br /> <br /> The maximum number of private driveway openings for one residence shall be two (2). <br />(Code 1971, § 15-16[i]) <br /> <br />Sec. 1940. Reserved. <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE DRIVEWAYS <br /> <br />Sec. 19-46. Location with respect to intersections. <br /> <br /> No service driveway constructed for a lot at an intersection of two (2) streets shall be <br />constructed nearer the corner of such intersection than three (3) feet from a normal pedestrian <br />crosswalk lane, whether such 'crosswalk lane exists or not. <br />(Code 1971, § 15-16[g]) <br /> <br />Sec. 1947. Location with respect to adjoining property lines. <br /> <br /> No service driveway shall be constructed nearer an adjoining private property line than <br />five and one-half (5¼) feet; except that, in the C-2 commercial district, to permit maximum <br />property utilization for buildings, a service driveway may be Constructed to within one foot of <br />the adjoining property line, if the driveway is to serve off-street parking or off-street loading <br />facilities on the property and if the minimum space specified in section 19-48 is maintained <br />between the driveway and any other driveway on the same or on adjoining property. <br />(Code 1971, § 15-16[g]) <br /> <br />1131 <br /> <br /> <br />
