SOLICITATIONS <br /> <br />§ 17-31 <br /> <br />to engage in illegal activity in the future and would pose'no danger to :the. public if allowed to <br />be a solicitor. <br />(Code 1971, § 14-6) <br /> <br />Sec. 17-30. Conditions. <br /> <br /> Any solicitor's peaTnit issued under this division shall be subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> (1) The holder shall have his solicitor's permit in his possession at all times and shall <br /> exhibit the same at any time upon the request of any police officer of the city, any <br /> purchaser or any person being solicited. <br /> <br /> (2) The holder shall make no false statements or fraudulent misrepresentations! in the <br /> course of carrying on the activity for which the permit is granted. <br /> <br /> (3) The holder shall not touch, restrain or physically interfere with any person's freedom <br /> of movement in the course of any solicitation. <br /> <br /> (4) The holder shall not hawk, cry or scream his wares or services on any public street or <br /> sidewalk or in any residential area.* <br /> <br /> (5) For the sale of any goods, wares or merchandise involving a future delivery, there <br /> shall be a written order or invoice, in duplicate, showing the name and address of the <br /> firm represented by the solicitor, issued and signed by the solicitor and signed by the <br /> purchaser, stating the terms and conditions of the sale, a description of the goods, <br /> wares or merchandise, the quantity and price thereof, the date of sale or the date of <br /> delivery and the amount paid in advance, if any. The duplicate of such order or <br /> invoice shall be given to the purchaser. <br /> <br /> (6) The holder shall not sell, distribute or circulate literary material or canvass or solicit <br /> orders therefor or for goods, merchandise or services from pedestrian or vehicular <br /> traffic on or adjacent to any side~valk or street within the limits of the city, in such a <br /> manner as to interfere with the normal and usual use of such sidewalk or street. <br /> <br /> (7) The holder shall not enter in or upon any house, building or other structure or any <br /> land or property, except with the prior consent of the owner or occupant thereof, <br /> where there is placed or posted on the premises, in a conspicuous position at or near <br /> the usual means of ingress, a sign or other form of notice stating or indicating that <br /> the owner or occupant thereof forbids or otherwise does not desire persons engaged in <br /> solicitation or peddling to enter upon the premises.
