Pittsylvania County Community Action Agency Board (one 3- <br /> year term) <br />2. Industrial Development Authority Board (two 4-year terms) <br />3. Board of Zoning Appeals (one 3-year term) <br />4. Martinsville Transportation Safety Commission Board (one <br /> unexpired term ending 12/31/2001 ) <br />Consultation with legal counsel employed by Council regarding <br />specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such <br />counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. <br /> <br />At the conclusion of this Closed Session, each member of Council certified that <br /> <br />(1) only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br /> <br />discussed in said Closed Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the <br /> <br />motion convening the Closed Session were heard, discussed, or considered during said <br /> <br />Session. <br /> <br />Following their return to open meeting, Council took the action below, by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Appointments/Reappointments to various Boards/Commissions, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. <br />1. Council Member Dallas moved to reappoint William W. <br /> Edwards, of 703 Second Street, to the Pittsylvania County <br /> Community Action Agency Board to a three-year term, <br /> expiring August 31, 2002; the motion was duly seconded <br /> and carried by the following vote, with all members voting: <br /> Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, <br /> Teague; Nays (0) - None; Absent (0) - None. <br />2. Vice Mayor Teague moved to reappoint David F. Currier, of <br /> 1508 Whittle Road, and Allan McClain, of 1715 Meadowview <br /> Lane, to the Industrial Development Authority Board to four- <br /> year terms, expiring September 26, 2003; the motion was <br /> duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all <br /> members voting: Vote 5 -0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, <br /> Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None; Absent (0) - None. <br />3. Council Member Roop moved to reappoint Allan McClain, of <br /> 1715 Meadowview Lane, to the Board of Zoning Appeals to <br /> a three-year term, expiring September 28, 2002; the motion <br /> was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all <br /> <br /> <br />
