Council <br />Member Roop inquired about the effects the additional truck will have on manpower; <br />Chief Brock stated that there would be-no change. Coundl Member Roop inquired as to <br />how personnel are assigned; Chief Brock said that two firemen are assigned to EMS <br />calls at the Main Station and that only two firemen are located at the Southside Station. <br />Council Member Haskell asked, "Where will the EMS vehicles be housed?" Chief Brock <br />replied, "The new one will be at the Main Station, and the current one will be at the <br />Southside Station." Council Member Haskell moved to authorize the grant submission; <br />the motion was duly seconded and carried by the following vote, with all present <br />members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) - Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays <br />(0) - None; Absent (0) - None. <br /> Council considered approving the Consent Agenda. Council Member Haskell <br /> moved to approve the following Consent Agenda item; the motion was duly seconded <br /> and carried by the following vote, with all present members voting: Vote 5 - 0; Yeas (5) <br /> - Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague; Nays (0) - None; Absent (0) - None. <br /> <br /> A. Accepted and appropriated grant funds of $1,500 from the <br /> Western Virginia Emergency Medical Services Council for <br /> fire prevention programs into Revenue Account 01100908- <br /> 480410 - Donations/Fire Department Grant for Expenditure <br /> Account 01321102-506010 - Fire Prevention Supplies in the <br /> Fire Department's budget in the General Fund. <br /> Mayor Crabtree shared an article stating that the Martinsville Astros had the best <br /> fans and best playing field.
