Vote: 5-0 <br /> <br />Yeas: (5) Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None <br /> <br />TUESDAY, JUNE 22, 1999 <br /> <br /> Following the above action Council recessed to participate in the public reception. As a part of the <br />reception the Fire Department had on site for exhibit their new fire engine, and the Police Department also <br />had on display a patrol vehicle equipped with one of their new mobile data terminals. <br /> <br />Council reconvened at 7:00 p.m. for the balance of their meeting. <br /> <br /> Council first considered recognition of City employees nominated for the quarterly Service <br />Excellence Award and announcement of the winner. Mrs. Brenda Prillaman, Customer Service <br />Coordinator, read the names of the menbers of the Award Committee, and recognized their contribution to <br />the effort. She then stated that all the nominees were true examples of what a public servant should be, <br />then read the names of the nominees. Those nominated included the following: Mike Agee, Cindy <br />Barbour, Ronald Shively and Marshall Claybrooks, all from the Public Works Department, and Betty <br />Roach from Community Development. All nominees were presented with a certificate in recognition of <br />their performance, then Mrs. Prillaman announced the winner of the Service Excellence Award, Ms. <br />Cindy Barbour, who was also presented a $50 cash award. City Manager Reynolds then expressed his <br />special thanks to Ms. Barbour and the other nominees for a job well done, as did Mayor Crabtree on <br />behalf of City Council. <br /> <br /> Council next considered the need to conduct their Neighborhood Town Meeting. Mrs. Prillaman <br />began wit'h presentation of a comprehensive report which documented Customer Concerns expressed by <br />residents of the Museum are~City during the past year, as well as information of the same kind for <br /> <br /> <br />
