(i:66

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2~, 1989

indiscriminate and uncontrolled developments nearby, particularly inasmuch as
the County of Henry has never enacted a zoning ordinance and (although one is
under study or development) probably will not enact such an ordinance in the
foreseeable future. Mr. McClain, further, expressed his opinion that Council
has never denied Mr. Ford's request for City water service for his proposed
mobile home park, and, therefore, the Henry County PSA has no right to provide
water service therefor under the City/PSA water service agreement. No action
was taken by Council on either the proposed ordinance or on the map.

CounCil resumed consideration (continued from its February 14th meeting) of
City Manager Brown's recommended housing policy/program for the City, as
presented by him at said February 14th meeting, for which report Mr. Brown was
commended by Councilman McClain. Council then took the following actions on
Mr. Brown's specific recommendations, as set forth on pages 457 through 460 of
Council's February 14th minutes:

New Housing

Amend the City's Zoning Ordinance to provide for general
zones in residential building zones --

No action required, inasmuch as the Planning Commission is
currently considering revisions or amendments to the
Zoning Ordinance.

Amend the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of
manufactured double-width homes in undeveloped areas of
R-6 and R-9 zones --

Continued for additional consideration but approved as to
concept.

Amend the Subdivision Ordinance to provide for
administration by City Administration --

No action·
