TUESDAY, DECM4BER 13, 1988 <br /> <br />refuted City Manager Brown's allegations (as to processing delays on <br />subdivision requests and inconsistent actions), with which refutation other <br />Planning Commission members present generally concurred. And, in response to <br />an inquiry from Council, Mr. Ford indicated that the Commission's* <br />recommendations as to changes it might recommend in the City's Zoning Ordinance <br />should be forthcoming in the very near future. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimously carried, Council adopted the <br />following ordinance (No. 88-11) which amends Section 2-23 of the City Code by <br />changing the date in each month by which financial reports shall be presented: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, <br />Virginia, in regular session assembled on December 13, 1988, that <br />Section 2-23 (Reports of director of finance) of Article II <br />(Finance Generally) of City Code Chapter 2 (Administration) be <br />amended, as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-23. Reports of director of finance. <br /> <br />The director of finance shall prepare such financial <br />reports and data as may be requested by the City <br />Manager, including monthly financial reports on or <br />before the twenty-second of the month following the <br />end of each month, which shall show the general <br />status of all funds and accounts as of the last day <br />of the month. <br /> <br />Council considered on second reading an ordinance (identified as Ordinance No. <br />88-12) which, if adopted as recommended by City Manager Brown, would delete <br />subsections (3) and (4) from Section 23-44 of the City Code, which section <br />cites the general conditions governing the providing by the Cityof water, <br />sewer service, and sewage disposal to residential and/or business consumers <br />located outside the City's corporate limits and which subsections City Manager <br />Brown described as now being outmoded.
