TUESDAY, JUNE 14, 1988 <br /> <br />Inspection Fees for "spectacular attractions", as <br />defined by ASTM Standards, shall be double the rate <br />for "major attractions". <br /> <br />When it is necessary for the City to retain an independent <br />inspector, any additional costs, such as travel expenses <br />or other related items, shall be added to the cost of the <br />permit. In no case shall such additional costs exceed the <br />actual expenses incurred by the independentinspector. <br /> <br />Council unanimously recommended to the West Piedmont Planning District <br />Commission that it make a favorable comment on an application by the Piedmont <br />Regional Community Services Board for Federal-State funding of its "Annual <br />Program" for the year beginning July 1, 1988. <br /> <br />Council was presented with a proposed resolution by which, if adopted by <br />Council and contingent upon adoption of concurring resolutions by the required <br />number of participating jurisdictions, the present Central Piedmont Employment <br />Consortium Cooperative Agreement will be amended to redefine respective duties <br />and responsibilities and will be renamed "Jurisdictional Agreement". <br />Representing the Central Piedmont Private Industry Council, in seeking adoption <br />of the resolution, was Ms. Kristen Shores, its Executive Director. In a <br />discussion of the resolution, Councilmen Coie and McClain expressed concerns <br />pertaining to a need for a regular report by the agency on its activities and <br />accomplishments as well as a need for its accounting and reporting to be in <br />"laymen's language". Following this discussion, by motion, duly seconded and <br />unanimously carried, Council adopted said proposed resolution, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
