TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1990 Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimousvote, Council approved (on a six-month trial basis) the following Ordinance 90-12 amending Chapter 12, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article IV, Stopping, Standing and Parking, Section 12-82, Four Hour Limit on Parking in Free Spaces and Zones and Time Limits Therein, of the City Code: BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session assembled October 9, 1990, that it does hereby amend Chapter 12, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article IV, Stopping, Standing and Parking, Section 12-82, Four Hour Limit on Parking in Free Space in Municipal Parking Lot, of the City Code, as follows: Chapter 12 Motor Vehicles and Traffic '~ ~ Article IV. Stopping, .Standing and Parking Sec. 12-82. Four-hohr limit on parking in free space in municipal parking lot. Except on Sundays~ no person shall park and remain parked in free parking spaces or=areas in '-any one municipal parking lot for more than four (4) continuous ~hours, whether occupying the same parking space or not; except, however, that in the west half of the lot bounded by Bridge, Church, Broad and Chestnut Streets and south of the Jefferson Plaza building, no person shall park and -remain parked in designated free parkingspacesfor more 'than one (1) hour whether occupying the same space or not ..... ~ Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, council authorized the City Manager to execute a quit-claim deed on behalf of the City conveying all its rights, title and interest to the State~for land and easements acquired from The Lester Group in connection with construction of the Reservoir Access Road.
