TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1990 <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimousvote, Council approved <br /> <br />(on a six-month trial basis) the following Ordinance 90-12 amending <br /> <br />Chapter 12, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article IV, Stopping, <br /> <br />Standing and Parking, Section 12-82, Four Hour Limit on Parking in <br /> <br />Free Spaces and Zones and Time Limits Therein, of the City Code: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, in regular session assembled <br />October 9, 1990, that it does hereby amend Chapter 12, <br />Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article IV, Stopping, <br />Standing and Parking, Section 12-82, Four Hour Limit on <br />Parking in Free Space in Municipal Parking Lot, of the <br />City Code, as follows: <br /> <br /> Chapter 12 <br /> Motor Vehicles and Traffic '~ ~ <br /> <br /> Article IV. Stopping, .Standing and Parking <br /> <br /> Sec. 12-82. Four-hohr limit on parking in free space <br /> in municipal parking lot. <br /> <br /> Except on Sundays~ no person shall park and remain <br /> parked in free parking spaces or=areas in '-any one <br /> municipal parking lot for more than four (4) continuous <br /> ~hours, whether occupying the same parking space or not; <br /> except, however, that in the west half of the lot bounded <br /> by Bridge, Church, Broad and Chestnut Streets and south <br /> of the Jefferson Plaza building, no person shall park and <br /> -remain parked in designated free parkingspacesfor more <br /> 'than one (1) hour whether occupying the same space or <br /> not ..... ~ <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, council <br />authorized the City Manager to execute a quit-claim deed on behalf <br /> <br />of the City conveying all its rights, title and interest to the <br />State~for land and easements acquired from The Lester Group in <br />connection with construction of the Reservoir Access Road. <br /> <br />Council considered a progress report regarding matters referred to <br /> <br /> <br />
