422 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, JULY 24, 1990 <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report from the City Manager on a complaint <br />concerning loitering at the car wash situated at the. corner of <br />FayetteStreet and Memorial 'Boulevard (which had been brought to <br />Mr. Brown's attention by Councilman Williams). Mr. Brown reported <br />that the Chief of Police had met with the owner of the property and <br />explained the procedure which must be followed in order for the <br />Police Department to enforce the "NoTrespassing" statutes. <br /> <br />.Council acknowledgeda report on vegetative growth in front of a <br />building recently confiscated by the Federal Government on Fayette <br />Street. Mr. Brown reported that the growth had been cut by the <br />Public Works Department using prison labor and that the cost would <br />be passed on to the property owner as prescribed by the City Code. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council <br />reappointed the following individuals to the Overall Economic <br />Development Program Committee for a one-year termexpiring July 28, <br />1991: William M. Bouldin, F. Woods Carter, Jr., Eo Wayne Eanes, <br />RaymondD. Ferrell, Samuel O. Fowler, J. Lloyd Gregory, Agnes M. <br />Hairston, Thomas L. Harned, William B. Muse, Jr., Annie C. Pettie~ <br /> <br />-and Rev. William Shackleford. <br /> / <br /> <br />Councilman Williamsreported that he had'. received several calls <br />from residents of High Street regarding young people gathering in <br />the area at night and requested additional police pat-rols. Mr. <br />Brown said that. he would examine the matter. <br /> <br /> <br />
