Adams,-Jr.--2,245 votes; Joseph E. Finley--I,400 votes; <br />and Allan McClain--1,856 votes. Mayor Oakes congratulated Mr. <br />Adams and Mr. McClain for their victories. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by· unanimous vote, Council <br />reappointed Mr. Rayford B. Smith for a five-year termto the Board <br />of Appeals following the expiration of Mr. Smith's current term, <br />which will occur May 11, 1990. <br /> <br />Councilman McClain announced that he had invited Council, Mr. <br />Adams, and Mr. Brown to dinner at his residence on May 18, and that <br />the press was also invited. <br /> <br /> <br />
