Ronnie Minter was present to make the request. <br /> Mr. Minter noted that due to some personnel changes which had <br /> occurred since the time that the budget was prepared, the actual <br /> expenditures for his office would -be somewhat~ less'-! than <br /> anticipated. <br /> <br /> Councildelayed consideration of the budget request of the City <br /> Sheriff due to anumber'o'f questions regarding the~budgetwhich was <br /> submitted.- Council instructed Mr. Brown to work 'with Sheriff <br /> Gilley.~in order to present it-with a revised request~ I Council <br /> asked.~Mr.'Brown to draft a ~letter for the Mayor~s'signature to <br /> proteSt'the change in funding for the Sheriff's mileage which <br /> Sheriff Gilley reported to be from $.22 per mile to $.16 per mile. <br /> Councilman Cole asked Sheriff Gilley to present Council with <br /> figures'on~the total amount of money spent for transporting and <br /> .boarding~.prisoners at other localities. <br /> <br /> Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council granted <br />~I=.-Itentative approval to the budget of the Commonwealth Attorney. <br /> <br /> <br />
