Mayor <br /> Oakes stated that he was against the City advertising anything, <br /> <br /> especially a product such as a beer. The Mayor stated that he felt <br /> that Council should take the position thatthe trailer either needs <br /> to be moved or that the sign needs to be covered and that he felt <br /> that the Danville Bottling Co. would understand the City's <br /> concerns. <br /> <br /> Council acknowledged a report on the inmate population at the City <br /> Jail, which had earlier been requested by Councilman Cole. The <br /> maximum number of prisoners for the month of March was 31 and the <br /> minimum was 23. It was noted that the capacity of-the jail is 18 <br /> plus 2 "spillover"'cells. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report regarding a' litter· problem along <br /> <br />Route 57 West (Fayette Street).
