Mr. Brown noted that a fi- <br /> <br />nal report should be ready for the April 24, 1990 Councilmeeting. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a status report on the Special Use Permit issued to <br />Patrick Henry Mental Health Agency to operate a group home for the <br />mentally handicapped located at 601 East Church Street. Council had <br />authorized the issue of the permit subject to review after one year. Mr. <br />Brown reported that no complaints have been received regarding the opera- <br />tion of the facility, and therefore recommended that the Special Use Per- <br />mit be extended indefinitely. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report on recently enacted legislation regarding <br />the "Virginia Indoor Clean Air Act". This matter to be placed on a future <br />agenda o <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report on unsightly conditions on West Church <br />Street. <br /> <br />The following comments were made byvarious Councilmen: <br /> <br />Councilman Cole questioned Mr. Brown on the studies <br />that had been made with regard to the intersection at <br />Rives Rd. and Mulberry Rd.~ Mr. Brown reminded Council <br />that City staff had recently provided Council with a <br />report on major intersections in the City, and that <br /> <br /> <br />
