TUESDAY, APRIL 10, 1990 <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote Councilsreferred to the <br />School Board a request from the Henry County Board of Supervisors that the <br />City conduct a study of City School facility needs concurrently with a <br />similar study to be conducted by the County. Mr. Brown explained that the <br />question of funding a feasibility study of combining the two systems' fa- <br />cilities is a separate question to be addressed after a study of facility <br />needs is completed. Councilmen Cole and McClain commended the County <br />Board of Supervisors for the action that they have taken on this issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Erwin Katz appeared, before Council to present a petition signed by23 <br />senior citizens whom he said were in favor of paid paramedics for the res- <br />cue squads. Mayor Oakes stated that Council would provide Mr. Katz with <br /> <br />copy of the E.M.S. study when it is completed. ~ ! · .... <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council approvedan <br /> <br />amendment to Section 7-3.3 Nepotism <br />adds the following statement: <br /> <br />of the City's Employee Manual which <br /> <br />Employees in any division of the Public Works Depart- <br />ment'shall not be promoted or transferred to a <br />supervisory position wherein that employee directly or <br />indirectly supervises his or her relative. Situations <br />which violate this Section but which were in existence <br />prior to its adoption shall be allowed to continue. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a financial report for the month ending March 31, <br />1990 as prepared by the Director of Finance.
