TUESDAY, MARCH 2?, 1990 <br /> <br /> Mr~Joyce!streSsed the importance of the immediate need to make decisions <br /> because of"the fast approaching deadlines that must be met in order for the <br /> <br /> City's and County's landfills to be in compliance with the established <br />regulations. <br /> <br /> Attached to these minutes (Appendix A) is a copy of the Executive Summary of <br /> the Consultant's report as presented. <br /> <br /> Upon 'motion, duly seconded and unanimous vote, City Council accepted Recom- <br /> mendation No. 8, thereby authorizing the City Manager to pursue the "post- <br /> collection/fluidized-bed option, the "issuance of a Request for'Qualification <br /> (RFQ) to begin identifying qualified vendors of construction equipment and <br /> separation,' the "issuance of a disposal site for by-pass waste, ash and solid <br /> waste during facility down-time, s~d "consideration of a potential disposal <br /> site other than those evaluated in the report". <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and unanimous vote, the Board of Supervisors ac- <br />cepted Recommendation No. 8 also, thereby authorizing the County Administrator <br />to pursue the same things. <br /> <br />There being no further joint business to be conducted by the Council and Board <br />of Supervisors, this portion of the meeting was adjourned and Council recon- <br />vened in the Council Chamber to continue with the regular portion of their <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
