TUESDAY, JANUARY 9, 1990 <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilman Cole, duly seconded by Councilman McClain and <br />unanimously carried, Council adopted Ordinance No. 90-3 (with an emergency <br />clause) amending the City Code, Chapter 13, Sections 13-21 and 13-36, by <br />changing the reference of "Section 46.1.1" of the Code of Virginia, to "Section <br />46.2-100" of the State Code, as follows: <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, <br /> in regular session assembled January 9, 1990, that Chapter 13, <br /> Offenses--Miscellaneous, of the City Code be and is hereby amended as <br /> a result of the Code of Virginia having been recodified, as follows: <br /> <br /> Chapter 13 <br /> OFFENSES--MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br /> Sec. 13-21. Trespass by motor vehicle; offenses with respect to signs <br /> prohibiting such trespass. <br /> <br /> Section 46.1-1 amend to 46.2-100 <br /> <br /> Sec. 13-36. Openlstorage of inoperative motor vehicles on property <br /> zoned residential or professional. <br /> <br /> Section 46.1-1 amend to 46.2-100 <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council that, an emergency existing, <br /> this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption. <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilman McClain, duly seconded by Councilman Cole and <br /> <br />unanimously carried, Council amended the City's Employee Manual, Chapter IV, <br /> <br />Section 4-1.2(b), Holidays with Pay, in order to clarify the intent, as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Employees eligible to receive pay for overtime work and required <br />to work during the holidays listed shall be paid at a rate of <br />twice their regular hourly or equivalent hourly rate for all <br />hours worked on a holiday up to eight (8) hours. All hours <br />worked in excess of eight (8) hours by such employees during the <br />holidays listed shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half times <br />their hourly or equivalent hourly rate. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of the City,s Financial Report ending November 30, <br />1989, as prepared by Director of Finance Richard Fitts. <br /> <br /> <br />
