TUESDAY, OCTOBER10, 1989 <br /> <br />development of Quail Hollow Townhouse Project near Crescent Street. City <br />Manager Brown noted that this resubdivision does not materially change the <br />proposed development, thus a modification to the Special Use Permit is not <br />required and this was being reported for the record. The developer is <br />resubdividing five lots into four lots in order to increase the size of two. <br />units being built. <br /> <br />The Mayor recognized two Boy Scouts that were in the audience, George Lester <br />and Chad Setliff from Troop 67. <br /> <br />City Manager Brown introduced the City's new Purchasing Agent, James Gary Via, <br />and noted that Mr. Via had also been assigned the duties of coordinating the <br />City's Safety Program. <br /> <br />City Manager Brown advised Council that Mr. Harold Lamm, School Superintendent, <br />had contacted him about a Special Meeting between the CoUncil and the School <br />Board for either Monday, November 20, or Tuesday, November 21. There were no <br />conflicts mentioned for either day. The Manager will confirm plans for this <br />meeting and advise Council. <br /> <br />The Council was reminded of the Special Council Meeting to be conducted <br />Wednesday, October 11, 1989, at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers to consider <br />and discuss the City's position on the proposed legislation regarding the <br />structure of local government in Virginia. <br /> <br /> <br />
