TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1991 <br /> <br />There being no other public comment., Mayor McClain declared the public <br />hearing closed. Mayor McClain inquired as to whether another public!hearing <br />would be required if the adoption of the Subdivision Ordinance were delayed. <br />City Attorney David Worthy responded that the public hearing held today would <br />be sufficient. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council delayed adoption of <br />Ordinance No. 91-20 amending the Subdivision Ordinancelin its entirety, on <br />first reading, as well as four minor changes and one major change to the <br />Ordinance suggested by the City Administration, until the January 14, 1992 <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />Council conducted a public hearing, on first reading, of Ordinance No. 91-21 <br />amending the Zoning Ordinance in its entirety. There being no public <br />comment, the public hearing was declared closed. Upon motion, duly seconded <br />and by unanimous vote, Council delayed adoption of Ordinance No. 91-21 <br />amending the ~oning Ordinance, in its entirety, until Council's January 14, <br />1992 meeting. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted, on second <br />reading, Ordinance No. 91-19 granting a renewal franchise to Adelphia Cable <br />Communications for a five-year term. Mr. Robb Grey of Fox 21 and 27 in <br />Roanoke/Lynchburg thanked Council for their patience and assistance. City <br />Attorney David Worthy noted that Mr. Grey now agreed with his opinion w!..~'3rein <br />Adelphia cannot be required to put Channel 27 on the cable. Mayor McClain <br />commented that any future efforts made by Adelphia to accommodate area <br />subscribers would be greatly appreciated by the Council. A complete copy of <br />the adopted Ordinance is on file in the Office of the Clerk of Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
