TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 1991 <br />AdministratiOn make a recommendation on whether or not the $250.,000 bond <br />which'has been secured for the new Treasurer is an appropriate amount. <br /> <br />Councilman Williams requested that the City Staff investigate a complaint he <br />received from a citizen regarding debris resulting from construct]on at a <br />site .on Oak Street. Mr. Heater stated that he would investigate and report <br />back to Council. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Councilman Adams, Water Resources Director John <br />Dyches gave+an update report on the PSA/City Amendment to the 1974 Sewage <br />Treatment Contract in which Mr. Dyches stated that, despite the PSA's refusal <br />to approve the amendment at their September 16, 1991 meeting, he still <br />supported the amendment which was presented to and approved by Council at the <br />September 10, 1991 meeting, but that h9 would be amenable to working with the <br />IPSA to completely rewrite the 1974 Agreement if this is desired by the PSA. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded~and by unanimous vote, Council requesteC that a <br />series/of town meetings be scheduled in various areas of the City for Council <br />to rec@ive input from the public. The first meeting is to ~be conducted in <br />the W~st. End area of the City and is to be scheduled for mid-November. The <br />City Manager's office is to contact members of Council to schedule an <br />appropriate date for the first meeting, which will have no predetermined <br />agenda. <br /> <br /> MayorMcClain stated that Council had received a memorandum from City ~anager <br /> <br /> Brown regarding changing the location of the parking Spaces designated for <br />members of City Council and asked that Mr. Heater meet with the Chief of <br /> <br /> Police and Public Works Director to further review this item. -. <br /> <br /> <br />
