In response to a question by Vice- <br />Mayor droden, City Attorney Worthy stated that Vice-Mayor Groden did not have <br />a conflict of interest in this matter, even though he'did a large volume Of <br />business with the Telephone Company, as he did not own stock or ha·:e any <br /> <br />other connectio~ with the Company. <br /> <br />At this point (7:25 P.M.) Councilman Oakes arrived at the meeting. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted on second <br />reading Ordinance No.·91-10 amending Appendix A--Schedule of Water and Sewer <br />Rates ~and Appendix D--Connection Fees, of the City's Water and Sewer Terms <br />and Conditions which is attached to these minutes as Appendix A. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved July 5, <br />1991 as a special holiday (with pay) for all employees under the City <br />Manager. It was noted that this action applies only to July5, 1991 and does <br />not affect Section 4-1.1 of the Employee Manual which defines official legal <br />holidays. <br /> <br />In accordances with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and a~s <br />amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and carried by a unanimous recorded <br />vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of considering <br />appoiH'tments to the following Boards and Commissions, as authorized by <br />Subsection 1 of Section 2.1-344(A): School Board, Social Services Board, <br /> <br /> <br />
