Upon <br /> <br />motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved the <br /> <br />continuation of the policy for another one-year period. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council set the following <br />public hearings for its May 28, 1991 meeting: (1) on a request by Weaver <br />Investment Company for a Special Use Permit to construct 38 apartments, known <br />as Martin's Landing Phase II, at 1151 East Church Street; (2) on a proposal <br />bythePlanning Commission to amend the Proposed Land use Plan to~redesignate <br />Lots 25 and 26, located east of Brookdale Road and northeast of Griggs Road, <br />as Professional rather than their current designation 'of Medium Density <br />Residential; (3) on a request by the Planning Commission to amend the City's <br />Subdivision Ordinance in its entirety; and (4) on a request by the Planning <br />Commission to amend the City's Zoning Ordinance in its entirety. Councilman <br />Oakes requested that the City Administration prepare a summary of changes <br />between the current Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and the proposed <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a financial report for the month ending 4/30/91. <br />Councilman Adams requested that the line item in the budget containing <br />"General Property Taxes" be broken out into two or three elements, which <br />would include a single line item for real estate taxes alone. Mr. Brown and <br />Finance Director Richard Fitts said that they would attempt to do this. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged an update report on the City's Safety Program as it <br />relates to employee.injuries. A written loss control evaluation report from <br />William T. Spiers, Loss Control Consultant for Alexander & Alexander, was <br />given to Council which detailed aspects of the City's loss/injury experience, <br />safety program activities, and safety objectives.
