Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council set the following public hearings for its May 28, 1991 meeting: (1) on a request by Weaver Investment Company for a Special Use Permit to construct 38 apartments, known as Martin's Landing Phase II, at 1151 East Church Street; (2) on a proposal bythePlanning Commission to amend the Proposed Land use Plan to~redesignate Lots 25 and 26, located east of Brookdale Road and northeast of Griggs Road, as Professional rather than their current designation 'of Medium Density Residential; (3) on a request by the Planning Commission to amend the City's Subdivision Ordinance in its entirety; and (4) on a request by the Planning Commission to amend the City's Zoning Ordinance in its entirety. Councilman Oakes requested that the City Administration prepare a summary of changes between the current Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances and the proposed Ordinances. Council acknowledged a financial report for the month ending 4/30/91. Councilman Adams requested that the line item in the budget containing "General Property Taxes" be broken out into two or three elements, which would include a single line item for real estate taxes alone. Mr. Brown and Finance Director Richard Fitts said that they would attempt to do this. Council acknowledged an update report on the City's Safety Program as it relates to employee.injuries. A written loss control evaluation report from William T. Spiers, Loss Control Consultant for Alexander & Alexander, was given to Council which detailed aspects of the City's loss/injury experience, safety program activities, and safety objectives.
