Councilman Adams <br />stated that his main interest in this matter was to determine whether or not <br />the City was in compliance with the State Fire Code requirements. Mr. Dyches <br />and Fire Chief Lewis Reeves stated that they were unaware of any special <br />requirements in the State Fire Code regarding this matter, but that they <br />would conduct further research to determine if there are any such <br />requirements. <br /> <br />After being recognized by Mayor McClain, Mr. Elmer Pingry, Projects Engineer, <br />made a statement to .Council in which he reviewed his long association with <br />City Manager Brown and in which he praised the work which Mr. Brown has done <br />on behalf'ofCity employees and citizens. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a report from City Treasurer Jack Bouldin on the <br />collection of delinquent real estate and personal property taxes for the last <br />three years in which Mr. Bouldin reported that total delinquent real estate <br />taxes as of 3/28/91' amounted to $370,844. $118,588.64 of this amount is <br />delinquent for more than three years. Mr. Bouldin reported delinquent <br />personal property taxes in the amount of $224,481.68 as of 2/28/91.
