TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 10, 1992 <br />Which iS currently bein9 developed by the Administration, would be <br />presented in January. <br /> <br />J.B. Trayis, 401 Fifth Street, asked about truck traffic on Fayette <br />Street, to which the Mayor responded that the opening of the Highway 58 <br />bypass should eliminate much, if not all, of the through truck traffic <br />and to which Mro Reynolds responded that "No through Trucks" signs had <br />been installed by the City on Fayette Street° <br /> <br />Rebecca Porter, 709 Smith Street, complained about an overgrown lot <br />next to her house which is the source of rats. Mr. Reynolds said that <br />City staff would investigate the problem. <br /> <br />Mamie Stockton, 507 First Street, asked if First Street could be <br />extended to Fayette Street and complained about trash on a lot next to <br />her house. The Mayor reviewed the development of this section of the <br />City by the Westview Land Company and stated that the area was <br />developed prior to adoption of the City's Subdivision Ordinance. Mr. <br />Reynolds stated that he would look into both issues raised by Mrs. <br />Stockton. <br /> <br />Bruce Dallas, 211 Massey Street, asked about the procedure regarding <br />selling property for back taxes, to which Mr. Reynolds explained the <br />escheat process for dealing with properties having delinquent taxes. <br />Mr. Dallas also asked Council to view property at 1005 Fayette Street, <br />which he stated was in poor condition. <br /> <br />Thelma Pinkard reported that Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Bannister (128 Sellers <br />Street) had a lot next to their property which was overgrown.
