TUESDAY, APRIL 140 1992 <br />following appointments to the Martinsville-Henry County Clean Community <br />Commission for two-year terms beginning April 1, 1992: Lisa Lyle, 317 <br />Sunset Avenue; Nancy Henderson, 717 Clarke Road; Frances McDaniel- <br />Weiler, 816 Mulberry Road; William Hooper, 213 Pine Street; Marion <br />Anderson, 502 Armstead Avenue; and James Keith Carr, 907 Corn Tassel <br />Trail. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed the <br />following individuals to the Martinsville Transportation Safety <br />Commission: Cynthia L. Montrief, 915 Vine Street, to fill an unexpired <br />term ending 12/31/92 and De'Angela Carter, 846 Smith Road Apt. #5, to <br />fill an unexpired term as a student member ending 6/30/92. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the matter concerning the acquisition of real <br />property for public purpose. <br /> <br />Councilman Adams asked the City Manager to review the City's Zoning <br />Ordinance to determine if changes are needed to ensure that <br />"concurrence" exists between the City's Ordinance elements. <br /> <br />Councilman Adams asked the City Manager to review a proposal by the <br />State Air Pollution Control Board to set emissions standards for open <br />burning. <br /> <br />Councilman Adams mentioned the issue of the proposed inter-basin water <br />transfer from the Roanoke River to Virginia Beach. Council deferred <br />any action on this matter at this time, as recommended by the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br /> <br />
