Council noted that the Deed stated the property <br />would revert to the City at no cost should it ever cease to be used for <br />a sheltered workshop and school for retarded persons. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized <br />the City Manager to execute a Deed of Lease between the City and Lemuel <br />A. Nolen for property in the City's Industrial Park. It was noted that <br />the property would be used for agricultural purposes and that the <br />annual lease amount would be $140. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged an audit report of the Treasurer's Office for the <br />turnover of funds following the retirement of City Treasurer John W. <br />Bouldin, Jr. and the takeover by the new City Treasurer, Bernice Smith. <br />It was noted that the audit showed no irregularities or improprieties. <br /> <br />Council delayed consideration until the March 24, 1992 Council Meeting <br />of the Project Priority List for the 1992 Regional Overall Economic <br />Development Program so that the City Manager could speak with personnel <br />of the West Piedmont Planning District Commission regarding whether or <br />not the Henry County Courthouse project could be added to the list. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted the <br />following Resolution commending the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber <br />of Commerce for the Business '92 Trade Show: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br /> <br />
