Council adopted Ordinance No. 99-1, .as <br /> <br />follows, on second reading, by the following vote, all members voting: <br /> <br />Vote: 5-0 <br /> <br />Yeas: (5) Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />City of Martinsville, Virginia <br /> Ordinance No. 99-01 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND, REVISE, AND REORDAIN APPENDIX B [ZONING ORDINANCE], <br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA, PERTAINING TO ASSISTED <br />LIVING RESIDENTIAL CARE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL. OF THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, VIRGINIA, in regular <br />session assembled January , 1999, that Appendix B [Zoning Ordinance] of the Code of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, be amended, revised, and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Appendix B <br />Zoning Ordinance <br /> <br />Section II. Definitions <br /> <br />Life Care Facility. A residential facility primarily for the continuing care of the elderly, providing for <br />transitional housing progressing from independent living in various dwelling units, with or without <br />kitchen facilities, and culminating in nursing home type care where all related uses are located on the <br />same lot. Such facility may include other services integral to the personal and therapeutic care of the <br />residents. <br /> <br /> Section VIII. Special Use Procedure <br /> <br />Special Uses Permitted in the - P-1,P-2, and RP-1 <br />Procedure. <br /> <br /> (7) Life Care Facility (RP-1 District Only), <br /> <br />Districts Using the Special Use <br /> <br />All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be and the same are <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> <br />
