Set a public hearing on a request by the Planning Commission to amend Section II-- <br /> Definitions and Section XI--District Regulations-Professional District, Paragraph J-- <br /> Permitted Uses- RP-1 Residential-Professional District, Sub-paragraph 4--Life Care Facility, <br /> of the City' s Zoning Ordinance, for Council's upcoming meeting on January 26, 1999. <br /> <br /> B. Set a public hearing regarding a 1999 Community Development Block Grant program for the <br /> purpose of citizen comment on priority projects throughout the entire City, for Council' s <br /> upcoming meeting on January 26, 1999, meeting. <br /> <br /> The above listed items were approved, by the following vote, all members voting: <br /> <br />Vote: 5-0 <br /> <br />Yeas: (5) Crabtree, Dallas, Haskell, Roop, Teague. <br /> <br />Nays: (0) None. <br /> <br />Council next considered the following matters related to the FY1998-99 Budget: <br /> <br />Acceptance and appropriation of $95,000 from the sale of City-owned property at the comer <br />of Market Street and Cleveland Avenue to Stuart Thomas, accepting $95,000 into Revenue <br />Account 16-000500-1899040--Proceeds from Land Sales and appropriating $61,000 to <br />Expenditure Account 16-950535-7981020 Miscellaneous Development Expenses in the <br />Capital Reserve Fund. <br /> <br />Appropriation of $34,000 to the Piedmont Community Services Board towards construction <br />costs of their new facility on Clay Street, by appropriation of $34,000 from Revenue Account <br />16-000500-1899040--Proceeds from Land Sales (See Item A) to Expenditure Account 16- <br />950500-5604065-Piedmont Community Services Building in the Capital Reserve Fund. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Tobin, Executive Director, Piedmont Community Services, was present to provide <br />Council with information on the two items above, as well a progress report on construction of his new <br />facilities. Mr. Tobin stated that renovation work on the existing building had begun on December 1, <br />1998, following the move of the Piedmont Community Services offices to the former Sara Lee Knit <br />Products building on Cleveland Avenue.
