.!:.02 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, MAY 11, 1993 <br /> <br />for termination of non-conforming uses which involve the temporary <br />storage of hazardous waste; (2) set a public hearing on the budget and <br />on tax rates for FY 93-94 for May 25, 1993; and (3) set a public <br />hearing on the effective tax rate increase due to the 1992 Reassessment <br />for May 25, 1993. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council authorized <br />the Mayor to contact the Henry County Board of Supervisors regarding an <br />amendment to the Bylaws of the Martinsville-Henry County Economic <br />Development Corporation setting forth the funding formula for the City <br />and Henry County. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing <br />a personnel matter under the jurisdiction of Council, as authorized by <br />Subsection 1. At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member <br />of Council certified that (1) only public business matters exempted <br />from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive <br />Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the motion <br />convening the Executive Session were heard, discussed or considered <br />during said Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council added <br />expenditures as follows to the FY 93-94 Budget: (1) $1,300 to Eund a <br />relocation stipend for the City Manager as provided in his employment <br />agreement (noting that this payment is reimbursement for moving <br />expenses for the City Manager and the language in the contract remains <br />unchanged to allow for reimbursement for moving expenses for the City <br /> <br /> <br />
