TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, 1992 <br />McClain), Council approved a supplemental appropriation in the amount <br />of $127,000 to the FY 92-93 Refuse Fund budget for the above-mentioned <br />expenditures relating to City-only expenses. Several members of <br />Council stated that the City Manager should request the supplemental <br />appropriation for the expenses related to Henry County's use of the <br />City Landfill after an agreement with the County has been approved by <br />Council and the Board of Supervisors. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended), and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing <br />the following: (1) performance of appointees of the public body, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1; (2) appointments and/or reappointments to <br />the Transportation Safety Commission, Dan River ASAP Board, and Anchor <br />Group Home System Commission; (3) consultation with legal counsel, as <br />authorized by Subsection 7; and (4) performance of appointees of the <br />public body (a separate item), as authorized by Subsection 1. At the <br />conclusion of this Executive Session, Council reconvened into regular <br />session, wherein, by a recorded vote, each member of Council certified <br />that (1) only public business matters exempted from open meeting <br />requirements were discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) only <br />those business matters identified in the motion convening the Executive <br />Session were heard, discussed or considered during said Session. (It <br />should be noted that Council recessed this Executive Session at 12:00 <br />Noon for a luncheon meeting with Alfred Groden and Julius Murrell and <br />reconvened the Executive Session following the luncheon meeting.) <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council appointed <br />David (Kris) Bridges, 712 Druid Lane, to a term ending 12/31/93 on the <br /> <br /> <br />
