JULY 26. 1994 <br /> <br />Virginia in regular session assembled this twenty-sixth day <br />of July, 1994, that the Zoning Map of the City of <br />Martinsville, Virginia, be--and is hereby--amended to the <br />extent that Lot 37 located at 906-1/2 Bob Gregory Street is <br />hereby rezoned from R-9 Residential to C-3 Commercial. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by said Council, that, an emergency <br />existing, this ordinance shall be in force on and after July <br />27, 1994. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted, on <br />second reading, the following Ordinance No. 94-6: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled, July 26, 1994, that it does hereby amend the <br />City Code, Chapter 12--Motor Vehicles and Traffic, Article III--Vehicle <br />License, as follows: <br /> <br />Amend/Replace: <br /> <br />Sec. 12-55. Display of Local License Decals Required; Penalty. <br /> <br /> Subject to the provisions of Section 46.2-755 of the Code of <br />Virginia (1950), any resident of the Counties of Henry, Patrick, <br />Franklin, or Pittsylvania or the Cities of Danville or Martinsville <br />shall be required to display a valid local license decal issued by the <br />county or city of his or her residence on any motor vehicle, trailer or <br />semitrailer owned by such resident. Any person who operates a motor <br />vehicle, trailer or semitrailer in this city on which such a valid <br />local license decal is not displayed shall be guilty of a Class 4 <br />misdemeanor. A violation of this section by the owner of any such <br />vehicle may not be discharged by the payment of a fine except upon <br />presentation of satisfactory evidence that the required local license <br />decal has been obtained. <br /> <br />Add: <br /> <br />Sec. 12-58. Summons Authorized for Violations. <br /> <br /> Any law enforcement officer may issue a citation, summons, or <br />uniform traffic summons for a violation of this article. <br /> <br />Council considered approval, on first reading, of Ordinance No. 94-8 <br />amending Chapter 13--Offenses, Miscellaneous, Article I--In General, <br />Section 13-11--Excessive, Unnecessary, Etc., Noise, Subsection (a)(2), <br />of the City Code. The current Noise Ordinance makes it unlawful to <br />generate noise in any residential district which can be heard inside <br />the dwelling of an individual between the hours of 12:00 midnight and <br /> <br /> <br />
