TUESDAY, MAY 24, 1994 <br />Transportation or Temporary Storage of Hazardous Waste", of the City's <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council adopted, on <br />second reading, the following Ordinance No. 94-4: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled May 24, 1994, that Section 18-24--Fee <br />Schedule, Article II--Refuse of Chapter 18--Solid Waste, of the City <br />Code be amended, as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 18-24. Fee Schedule <br /> <br />(a) Collection and landfill charges: <br /> <br />Individual living units (one pickup per week), per month ........ $6.00 <br />Dumpsters, commercial and apartments <br />(for each time emptied), per container ....................... $14.50 <br />Business not currently using dumpsters <br />(for two (2) pickups per week), per month .................... $12.00 <br /> <br />(b) Landfill charges: <br />Unsplit tires (13-inch and larger), each ........................ $2.00 <br />Car with bagged garbage only (minimum charges) .................. $1.50 <br />All other vehicles, per ton .................................... $28.30 <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall be effective on and <br />after July 1, 1994. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council set a public <br />hearing for June 14, 1994 to consider appointees to the Martinsville <br />City School Board.. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged a financial report for the month ending April 30, <br />1994 and a quarterly Treasurer's report on investments for the quarter <br />ending March 31, 1994. <br /> <br />Council considered authorizing the Police Department to apply for an <br />Intensified Drug Enforcement Assistance (IDEA) grant in the amount of <br /> <br /> <br />
