TUESDAY, MAY 17, 1994 <br />request when provided with the'full cost of the project, including <br /> <br />installation. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />supplemental appropriation of $7,563 to the FY 93-94 General Fund <br />budget (to be taken from the Industrial Development Authority reserve) <br />to be paid to Henry County in order to fund the City's 50% share of the <br />County's supplemental appropriation to the FY 93-94 budget of the <br />Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Adams noted the members of Council had been invited to tour <br />the City of Danville's solid waste transfer station and suggested <br />Council arrange a group tour of the facility. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Adams, noting problems faced by some cities regarding the <br />location of adult film theaters in central business districts, asked <br />the City Manager to review this matter as to whether Council should <br />consider an ordinance which would prohibit this in the City. The City <br />Manager stated this could be reviewed in connection with the <br />development of the Comprehensive Plan, known as "Vantage '94". <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing a personnel matter under the ~urisdiction of Council, as <br />authorized by Subsection 1. At the conclusion of this Executive <br />Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only public business <br />matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said <br />Executive Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in <br /> <br /> <br />
