90 <br /> <br />TUESDAY, MAY 17, 1994 <br /> <br />the motion conveDing the Executive Session were heard, discussed or <br />considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council set the <br />salary for the City Manager at $74,880 for FY 94-95. Council noted <br />this level of compensation was zn line with the pay range for the <br />position as demonstrated ~ythe Classification and Compensation Study <br />performed by Hendricks & Ass~iates during FY 93-94. However, the <br />members of Council stated '~he City Manager's compensation was set by <br />contract, therefore, the position is not a part of the City/Schools Pay <br />Plan. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council amended the <br />FY 94-95 Budget to reflect the revised salary of the City Manager, <br />along with the Concurre~ costsof benefits which are tied to salary. <br /> <br />Vice-Mayor Adams stated that four members of the Virginia Museum of <br />Natural History Board would have terms expiring 6/30/94 and said it had <br />been suggested that City Council participate in making suggestions to <br />the Governor for possible replacements. The Mayor asked the members of <br />Council to forward the names of any candidates to Vice-Mayor Adams, <br />with Council considering this matter at the June 14, 1994 regular <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> In response to a question by Vice-Mayor Adams, the City Manager stated <br /> he would discuss with Director of Water Resources John Dyches whether <br /> <br />Council in attempting to persuade the State Water Cont~o~ Board to <br />raise the color limit which the Wastewater Treatment Plant is required <br /> <br /> <br />
