TUESDAY. Cole, Jr.. ~irman of the <br />Drug Task Force o~ M~,neVille-Henr~ County, the ~mbers of Council <br />concurred they ha~ no objection to t~e appointment of persons who are <br /> <br />not City residents ~e ~he Drug Task ForCe Boar~ by Council provided the <br />appointees have 8pecia1 qu, alifications and are requested to be <br />appointed bY th~I' ~r~ ~as.k Force Board. <br /> <br />Council he~=d ~ A~eXis .L~, who ~ended Council on its funding of <br />School Div~Slo~ ~e~8 in t~ ~ 94-9~ BUdget and from Cynthia Lee, who <br />asked what ~he Co~c~ couAd do to achieve National education goals. <br />Mayor M~,ain ex~X~ined Council' s ro~e i~ 'approving the School <br />Division's~ annual b~dget an~ ~he School Board~S role in developing <br />educational pr~r~ms. Several members of COunc,1 suggested Ms. Lee <br />attend a School Boar~ meeting. <br /> <br />Council noted receipt of correspondence from Cit~Sheriff Steve Draper, <br />who requested Council consider appropriation of 84,200 to fund the <br />installation of surveillance cameras for the Jail'S isolation cells. <br /> <br />Councilman Willjams made a motion, seconded by Councilman Teague to <br /> <br />fund the request, however, the motion and second were withdrawn when <br /> <br />the City Manager stated that he was not certain if the $4,200 request <br /> <br />included the cost of installation. Council noted it would consider the <br /> <br /> <br />
