MONDAY, APRIL 25, 1994 <br /> <br />Association, making the total FY 94-95 budget for this line item <br />$15,000. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved an <br />appropriation of $7,452 to be used to fund a part-time Office Associate <br />position for the Senior Citizens' Center. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved an <br />appropriation of Sl,000 to be used for development of a Police <br />Department physical fitness program. <br /> <br />Council reviewed the budget of the Stores Fund (which had not been <br />discussed in previous work sessions), but made no changes to the <br />request. <br /> <br />In response to a question by a member of Council, Finance Director <br />Richard D. Fitts stated that revenue estimates for real estate taxes <br />were based upon a 99.5% collection rate, which matches historical <br />collection patterns. <br /> <br />After passing the gavel to Vice-Mayor Adams, Mayor McClain, in line <br />with the general consensus of Council reached regarding operating the <br />Enterprise Funds in order to generate a profit, made a motion to <br />increase the transfer from the Electric Fund to the General Fund by <br />$82,116, making the total FY 94-95 transfer from the Electric Fund to <br />the General Fund $1,682,116 (the same level as FY 93-94). This motion <br />was seconded and carried by a vote of 4 "yes" and 1 "no" (Vice-Mayor <br />Adams). <br /> <br /> <br />
