TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 1994
Council considered approval of revisions'to the "Rules and Regulations
Governing the Use of Beaver Creek Reservoir". Director of Water
Resources John H. Dyches explained the changes were being requested in
order to (1) change the language in the Rules to refer to the Water
Resources Department rather than Public Works Department; (2) attempt
to restrict the possible introduction of zebra mussels into the
Reservoir; (3) update boating fees; and (4) outline provisions for use
of inflatable boats. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote,
Council approved the revisions as submitted.

17¸

Council acknowledged a report on the status of the FY 93-94 Capital
Improvement Program. Mr. Reynolds said the Compensation
Board had identified funding for office automation equipment for
Commonwealth's Attorneys and Sheriffs. The City Commonwealth's
Attorney and City Sheriff had successfully applied for this funding.
The Commonwealth's Attorney was awarded S888 of which $159 was a local
match. Commonwealth's Attorney J. Randolph Smith requested that
Council provide $200 in local funds in order to purchase software for
