Councilman Oakes also expressed concern about <br />the level of violent crime in the State. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Vice-Mayor Adams, all three legislators <br />voiced opposition to any proposal which would result in the Virginia <br />Museum of Natural History being moved from Martinsville or which would <br />result in any new facility being located outside of Martinsville or <br />Henry County. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Councilman Oakes, Delegate Armstrong said <br />he intended to introduce legislation as requested by Council which <br />would amend the Special Act enacted during the 1993 General Assembly <br />providing for the termination of certain non-conforming zoning uses <br />involving the transportation or temporary storage of hazardous waste by <br />the governing body of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
