Upon motion, duly <br />seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved the Ordinance on first <br />reading. <br /> <br />Council considered approval of amendments to Sections 3 and 7 of the <br />City's Rules .and Regulations Governing the Use of Beaver Creek <br />Reservoir. Mr. Dyches explained the current Rules allow for the use of <br />canoes, but not kayaks. The City has received several requests from <br />kayak owners to use their kayaks at the Reservoir. Mr. Dyches said <br />when the Regulations were first written, kayaks were not constructed as <br />securely as canoes, but modern-day kayaks are constructed at least as <br />securely as canoes. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council approved the amendments. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged financial reports for the months ending June 30 <br />and July 31, 1995. <br /> <br />Council considered <br />outstanding purchase <br />requested as follows: <br /> <br />reappropriations for various projects and <br />orders from FY 94-95. Reappropriations were <br /> <br /> Capital Reserve Fund--S25,000; Electric Fund-- <br /> <br />$118,015; General Fund--S124,999; Water Fund--S112,000; Refuse Fund-- <br />$196,151; Meals Tax Fund--S4,719. Also requested was an appropriation <br />in the General Fund of $24,750 for the second payment on the old Dodge <br />Building, at the corner of Moss & Church Streets, which had been <br />inadvertently left out of the FY 95-96 Budget, and an appropriation of <br />$12,782 to the School Fund, which represented two outstanding purchase <br />orders from the FY 94-95 General Fund. Upon motion, duly seconded and <br />by unanimous vote, Council approved these requests as submitted. <br /> <br /> <br />
