TUESDAY, AUGUST 8. 1995 <br /> <br />May 1, 1992; now, therefore,I <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled on August8, 1995, that it does hereby amend <br />Ordinance No. 92-1, Paragraph 2 and Paragraph 10, as follows: <br /> <br />The exclusive, unrestricted use at all times during his <br />employment of a private automobile provided to him by the <br />City, or, at the option of said City Manager, an automobile <br />allowance of $350.00 per month to cover all local travel <br />throughout the City and Henry County. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />In the event the City Manager is terminated by the Council <br />during such time that the City Manager is willing and able to <br />perform his duties under this agreement, then in that event <br />the City of Martinsville shall pay to the City Manager a lump <br />sum cash payment equal to five months' aggregate salary; <br />provided, however, that in the event the City Manager is <br />terminated because of his conviction of any illegal act <br />involving personal gain to him, then in that event, the City <br />of Martinsville shall have no obligation to pay the aggregate <br />severance sum designated in this paragraph. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that an emergency exists and this ordinance <br />amendment shall become effective immediately upon adoption. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council voted to <br />approve a $3,000 lump sum bonus to be paid to the City Manager for <br />Fiscal Year 1994-95. <br /> <br />There being no other business to come before the Council, Mayor Adams <br />declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> ~~'/~ of Council <br />Lc/e~G.
