AUGUST 8. 1995 <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) a personnel matter under the <br />3urisdiction of Council, as authorized by Subsection 1; (2) the <br />possible disposition of City-owned property, as authorized by <br />Subsection 3; and (3) a personnel matter under the jurisdiction of <br />Council, as authorized by Subsection 1. At the conclusion of this <br />Executive Session, each member of Council certified that (1) only <br />public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) only those business <br />matters identified in the motion convening the Executive Session were <br />heard, discussed or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Regarding the first item considered in Executive Session, upon motion, <br />duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council accepted a revised 3ob <br />description for the Clerk of Council, which is made a part of these <br />minutes as Attachment A. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the second item discussed in Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />Regarding the third item, upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />vote, Council adopted the following amendment to Ordinance No. 92-1: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, appointed <br />Earl B. Reynolds, Jr., as City Manager, and enacted Ordinance No. 92-1 <br />fixing his compensation as required by Section 1 under Chapter 5 of the <br />City Charter to be effective March 1, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in regular <br />session assembled on February 9, 1993, amended Ordinance No. 92-1 by <br />adding Paragraph 11 related to payment of a mobile two-way radio and a <br />cellular phone for the City Manager's personal vehicle, retroactive to <br /> <br /> <br />
