TUESDAY, MAY 9, 1995 <br />and August 24-25, 1995 as possible dates for Council's annual retreat. <br /> <br />3.39 <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Council convened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) appointments to a committee <br />that would participate in an assessment of the Virginia Museum of <br />Natural History, as authorized by Subsection 1; and (2) consultation <br />with legal counsel, as authorized by Subsection 7. At the conclusion <br />of this Executive Session, each member.of Councilscertified that (1) <br />only public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were <br />discussed in said Executive Session; and (2) only those business <br />matters identified in the motion convening the Executive Session were <br />heard, discussed or considered during said Session. <br /> <br />Council took no action on the first item discussed in Executive <br />Session. <br /> <br />Regarding the second item, upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />vote, Council appropriated $10,080 to the FY 94-95 City Attorney's <br />budget for legal/expert services related to delinquent tax collections, <br />to be taken from the General Fund's Industrial Development Authority <br />reserves. <br /> <br />In a second matter not on the agenda, the City Manager noted the <br />Virginia Museum of Natural History had requested the Council adopt a <br />Resolution in support of the Museum's grant application for its Arbor <br />Day Festival. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, <br />Council adopted the following Resolution: <br /> <br /> <br />
