TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 1995 /2 ~ <br />public hearing, voted to recommendto Council that Ordinance No, 95-3 <br />be adopted, thereby establishing the B-1 Business District· Mayor <br />Adams then opened the City Council public hearing, withClayton Easter, <br />also representing the Church of God, expressing concern about possible <br />increased traffic resulting from the development of ~eBusiness Park. <br />Mr. Reynolds noted the City was working with the Virginia Departmentof <br />Transportation to amend its Seven Year Plan in order to make <br />improvements to the Liberty Street/Clear~iew Drive/Stultz Road <br />intersection. This project would be:~in~=te~ wit~ improvements to <br />the areas surrounding the intersection so ~ ~Eaf:~i~ ip~eblems would <br />not be as severe as they might otherwise~=~]~e ~en, T~he~ being no <br />other comments from persons present, Mayor Ada~Ms ~$~M~ ~he ~blic <br />hearing closed. Upon motion, duly secoe~4~ed, and b.~ u~ni~ -~, <br />Council adopted, on an emergency basis, thefollow~gOrd~am~e~.~M~ <br />3: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Councilof the City of Martinsville, Virginia, in <br />regular session assembled, April 25, 1995, that it does hereby ~mend <br />Section XIII--Business and Manufacturing Districts of Appendix B-- <br />Zoning Ordinance of the City Code by adding Subsections A-E <br />establishing a B-1 Business District, as follows: <br /> <br />Section XIII. Operated <br /> ina relatively clean and quiet manner which will not be obnoxious <br /> to adjacent residential, commercial or professional distric~s. <br /> <br />The regulations are-designed to prohibit any use or trade which~' <br />though properly and safely operated with. ordinary ='~ care'!
