TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 1995 Mulberry/Spruce/Jefferson intersection. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council voted to support the recommendation of the Transportation Safety Commission of no change being made in the Mulberry/Spruce/Jefferson intersection. Regarding the intersection of Clearview Drive and Barrows Mill Road, Mr. Reynolds recommended no change be made at the intersection at this time and that it be included in the overall study of traffic in the Liberty, Stultz, Clearview, Northside Drive area. Councilmen Teague and Oakes supported this view. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council voted to support the recommendation of the City Manager. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved funding in the amount of $9,850 to the Gateway Streetscape Foundation in order to provide matching funds for a grant from the Department of Forestry for the 58 East/East Church Street beautification project. Edie Reed, Executive Director of the Gateway Streetscape Foundation, was present to explain the project and to respond to questions from the members of Council. Mr. Reynolds noted that funds had been included in the FY 94-95 Budget for this purpose. Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council voted to approve the funds for the project.
