TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 1995
Council and Henry County Board of Supervisors. Upon motion, duly
seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved the supplemental
appropriation to be taken from the General Fund's Industrial
Development Reserve.

Council considered a request by the City Council to rezone property
owned by R. P. Thomas Trucking Company, from M-1 Industrial to C1-A
Intermediate Commercial and R-9 Residential. Lafayette Jones, 501 Second
Street, Jimmie Hawkins, 408 Second Street, J. B. Travis, 401 Fifth
Street, and Denise Wilson, 832 Smith Road, all spoke in favor of the
rezoning. There being no other comments from persons present, Mayor
Adams declared the public hearing closed. In response to a question
.from Vice-Mayor Oakes, City Attorney David B. Worthy stated that he did
