TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 1995 <br />Council considered a request from the Henry County Board of Supervisors <br />for the City's participation in their effort to create a task force to <br />study the development of a travel and promotion program. Mr. Reynolds <br />explained the County would like for the City to join in creating a task <br />force to be formed in January 1996, with a plan developed by June 1996. <br />Several members of Council suggested local groups which should be <br />invited to join the task force. Upon motion, duly seconded and by <br />unanimous vote, Council approved the City's participation in this <br />effort. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council cancelled the <br />regular Council meeting scheduled for December 26, 1995. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged staff reports as follows: (1) Mr. Harned reviewed <br />the Enterprise Zone map for the City and County; and (2) Council was <br />advised Mr. Donald Smith has resigned from the Planning Commission, <br />thereby necessitating a vacancy to be considered at the next regular <br />meeting of Council. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />supplemental appropriation of $3,500 received from the Sheriff's <br />Electronic Incarceration Program to be used to purchase additional <br />cameras for the Jail to enhance monitoring of the rear sallyport door <br />and women's cell area. <br /> <br />In accordance with Section 2.1-344 (A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, <br />and as amended) and upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous <br />recorded vote, Councilconvened into Executive Session for the purpose <br />of discussing the following matters: (1) consultation with legal <br /> <br /> <br />
