Council Member Dallas also stated that Tony Rinaldi, Leisure Services & Facilities <br /> <br />Administrator for the City, was assisting them in this endeavor. <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the City Council, upon motion by Council <br />Member Dallas, second by Council Member Huskell, and unanimous agreement, Mayor Crabtree declared <br />the Council Meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> The meeting was convened as the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority with <br />Chairman Mark A. Crabtree presiding. Other members of the Authority present were Vice-Chairman J. <br />Gene Teague, and Authority Members Bruce H.T. Dallas, Elizabeth H. 'Huskell and Terry L. Roop. In <br />accordance with Section 2.1-344(A) of the CODE OF VIRGINIA (1950, and as amended) and upon <br />motion, duly seconded, and by unanimous recorded vote, the Authority convened in Executive Session for <br />the purpose of consultation with legal counsel pertaining to probable litigation, as authorized by <br />Subsection 7. <br /> <br /> At the conclusion of this Executive Session, each member of the Authority certified that (1) only <br />public business matters exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed in said Executive <br />Session; and (2) only those business matters identified in the motion convening the Executive Session <br />were heard, discussed, or considered during said Session. <br /> <br /> Following their return to open meeting, upon motion by Vice-Mayor Teague, second by Council <br />Member Roop, and unanimous agreement (5-Ayes--Crabtree, Teague, Dallas, Huskell and Roop; 0- <br />Nayes), the Authority adopted the following Resolution: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Martinsville Redevelopment and Housing Authority, a political subdivision <br /> organized and existing under the laws of Virginia, pursuant to federal and state law, has previously <br /> resolved that a public necessity exists to undertake a redevelopment project within the City of <br /> Martinsville, Virginia, known as the Moss-Barton Redevelopment Project; and <br /> <br /> <br />
