Mr. <br />Wayne Knox, of the City's Housing Office, went on to describe the <br />process under which such work is approved, contracted for and <br />performed, and stated that previous work by Mr. Clark had been done in <br />a timely and satisfactory manner. He expressed both surprise and <br />concern about the present situation, assured Council that Mr. Clark had <br />only been paid for work he had actually completed to this point, and <br />pledged to apply whatever measures were necessary and appropriate to <br />correct the problems at hand, in an expeditious manner. The City <br />Manager also noted the multiple elements of the inspection program <br />built into the process, which will be used to assure satisfactory <br />performance of all project work. Councilmember Dallas asked about the <br />possible availability of a contractor by the name of Lawson, who had <br />done good work , and was told that this individual had not been <br />available due to other work commitments. Mr. Teague asked Mr. Dallas <br />what his impression of prior complaint resolution on this project had <br />been, to which he replied that it had been excellent, and that Mr. Knox <br />had been very responsive and effective.
