J. 92 <br /> TUESDAY~ JUNE 24, 1997 <br /> <br /> Unexpended Fund Balance of the Refuse Fund to the Capital Reserve Fund <br /> <br />line item established for this purpose. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council approved a <br />request from the School System for an additional appropriation of <br />$136,245, to award a construction contract for improvements to the <br />Middle School Gymnasium, said funds to be appropriated from the <br />Unexpended Fund Balance of the Meals Tax Fund to ~he Capital Reserve <br />Fund Account 16-950535-7963040 for this purpose. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council concurred <br />with a request from the Martinsville School Board in the approval of a <br />five-year lease transaction to install a 30-computer lab at Albert <br />Harris Elementary School, funding for payment of this lease to come <br />from Title I Funds. <br /> <br />Upon motion, duly seconded and by unanimous vote, Council accepted and <br />appropriated $405.80 of Federal Forfeited Asset Funds to the Police <br />Department's FY-1996-97 Budget, said funds to be appropriated to <br />Revenue Account 01-000500-2404010, for expenditure in Account 01- <br />310100-5415008 in the Police Department Budget. <br /> <br />Council considered an appointment to the City's Community Policy and <br />Management Team Board, but decided to delay action on this appointment <br />until their July 8, 1997 meeting, at which time they intend to discuss <br />this appointment with Joyce Martin, Director of the Henry-Martinsville <br />Department of Social Services. <br /> <br /> <br />
